We supported Aayam Engineering Research and Consultancy to conduct Road Safety Program in 9 different schools in Panchthar. The project was developed by Infrastructure Development Office, Panchthar. Ms. Jeena Kharel from AERC led the program and Mr. Hemant Tiwari coordinated the programs and Sahil Dahal led the site coordination. The program was supported by Nausad Ansari and Agnidhar Pandey.
The sole objective of the program was to create a road discipline regarding traffic rules to enhance the safe driving culture, targeting the fourth pillar “Safer road user” to school students, local people, drivers and other concerned stakeholders.
Follow schools were selected for the program and 754 students were benefited by it.

As a part of the Mugling-Narayanghat Road Project, SSTN conducted 35-days long programs related to road safety and its awareness in the project influence area.
Various programs were conducted along the 36-Km road stretch and the settlements along it. The programs included awareness programs at different schools, local clubs, and other civil society,;contractor and its employees; drivers and helpers of buses, trucks, utility vehicles and other private vehicles; pamphlet distribution; interaction with the passengers; sticking of stickers with road safety message; display of banners with road safety message; and distribution of road safety related videos to be played in the public transport vehicles.
Nearly 24,000 people were estimated to be impacted by the various programs conducted. Here’s some glimpse of the programs.
As a part of the transport master plan of the then Lalitpur Sub-Metropolitan City, SSTN supported INDECO-NEST-PICASSO JV to conduct research (case studies) to assess and existing status of public transport service, walkability in the historical core city area (Patan Durbar Square) and parking study in the core city area.
